Hi, I’m Ro.
I’m a UK Registered Dietitian of 15 years, a four-time national award winner from the British Dietetic Association, an author, and a specialist in women’s health, fertility nutrition, obesity and metabolic health. I hold a Master’s degree in Advanced Nutrition and a second Master’s degree in Clinical Research, and I’ve been supporting people with PMOS (formerly PCOS) for almost my entire career.
PMOS has fascinated me ever since I qualified as a dietitian.
Early in my career, I worked in specialist weight management services, seeing hundreds of patients each year. It quickly became apparent that people with PMOS often needed a different approach to nutrition and weight management than those without the condition. Patients would repeatedly tell me that conventional advice simply wasn’t working for them.
As my career progressed into women’s health and fertility nutrition, I began supporting people with PMOS for a whole host of reasons beyond weight management – from fertility challenges and insulin resistance to lean PMOS, irregular cycles, acne, thinning hair and high testosterone levels.
It reinforced what I suspected all along: there is no such thing as a “typical” PMOS patient. Two people can have the same diagnosis and look like they have completely different conditions.
My Fertility Nutrition Course for Healthcare Professionals has educated healthcare professionals in more than 30 countries and has become one of the most highly acclaimed fertility nutrition courses available. My goal is to do the same for PMOS nutrition.
